Football Foundation

Having resolved the issue with the Surrey Street lease we have arranged our first meeting with representatives of the Football Foundation.

The Football Foundation is the UK’s largest sports’ charity. Funded by the Premier League, The Football Association and the Government, the Foundation directs £40m every year into grass roots sport. The Foundation receives money from the very top of the professional game and also from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport through Sport England. It then uses this money to leverage even more partnership funding, to deliver a programme of new and improved community sports facilities in towns and cities across the country.

The Football Foundation oversee the Football Stadia Improvement Fund which provides grant aid to clubs in the Football League, the Conference and the National League System that want to improve their facilities for players, officials and spectators.

The meeting will take place in early June and is a major step in the development of our football club.
