Today, the Development Team held their first meeting with Chris Barry, the East Midlands Technical Advisor for the Football Foundation.
The meeting gave Chris the opportunity to see the existing facilities at Surrey Street and for the team to gain a better understanding of the process involved in any grant application.
The meeting was very positive and the team see no reason why we cannot meet most, if not all, of our original plan (listed below). We now know the levels of funding the Football Foundation provide, the supporting documentation they require as well as an indication of how long the process will take from when the application is submitted.
We now have a list of actions/issues that we need to resolve prior to being in a position to submit an application. Further updates will be given as these actions progress.
