Glossop North End AFC are pleased to announce details of fundraising initiatives relating to the Ground Development Project.
The schemes are aimed at businesses and individuals and are designed in such a way that everyone can participate,
One of the main activities is a “buy a brick” scheme. “Bricks” will be £5 each and there is no limit on how many “bricks” may be purchased. Each contribution will be recorded on a “virtual wall” and the size of the entry on the virtual wall will be in direct proportion to the number of “bricks” purchased. For individuals, their name will be recorded and for businesses, the name of the business + a logo will be displayed. It is envisaged that the virtual walls will build up over time and, at the end of the process, hard copy of the walls will be displayed in the Glossop North End Clubhouse thus recognising the contributions in perpetuity.
Other schemes will include a couple of high profile events and the potential for a sponsored sky dive by the players. In addition, there are other schemes currently being worked on and details will be released in due course.
The launch date for the funding activities is Monday 12th April 2010. The different schemes will be outlined in a leaflet which will be available from the launch date. Hard copies of the leaflet will be available from the Surrey Street ground on home match days and in the Decor8 shop on Bernard Street in Glossop.
